  Let me go back a bit so you understand why I need to do this. I have been talking to my active jw mom about the changes that the GB made in the new wt about "this generation". I told her that the bible was clear that nobody knows the time of the end and that it was wrong of the WBTS to try and put a time frame on it by saying that 1914 generation would not pass away. She told me it was new light!

  I then asked her if she agreed that the bible is very clear that no one knows the time or the hour. She agreed that it was clear, I then asked her if she thought it was a mistake to have tried to attach a date to it. She agreed. So I told her that I feel that the GB made a mistake and they should be humble enough to admit to it. She first said no it's just new light. I then asked her what would happen to her if she made a mistake and was not humble? She said that they would df her. So i said that the GB were suppose to be slaves and slaves are suppose to be humble. They made a mistake and they should appologise and be humble about it.

  I said that many people put their lives on hold, no education, not getting married and not having kids etc, because ot the 1914 generation not passing away! New light did not replace all they had given up!

  I asked her if she thought it was fair that there seemed to be two sets of rules one for the jw in the kh and one for those in the lead at WBTS HQ.

  I could feel that I had got through to her. ( A small crack in the JW armour) She said I was right and that they should appologise.

  Yooohooo

  and then.... she asked me to write to the GB and ask them why they don't appologise. I know that the GB will not write back. But she thinks they will, she is convinced that one of the 12 (?) will take the time to write to me!!

  I want to send a very respectful letter to them so that I can send my mom a copy. If someone does answer it will be a standard responce and she will be disappointed.

  I have not been to meetings for .....almost 10 years and am not df'ed or da.

  i have bills to pay and gas is expensive and it's hard to make ends meet.. simon is in arrears, to the tune of like 10,000 posts.. if i knew this jwd thing wasn't gonna work, i wouldn't have quit my real job.. your financial aid is most appreciated.. your fellow servant,.

  Real Life People VS. Board Life People

  i have met quite a few folks from the forum, and between topics and posts about meeting so and so, and what is this person like, and the scandals, i felt kind of compelled to do a little mind dump on a topic about it and my experiences, and i hope no one thinks i didn't notice or remember them, these are just the most recent and those i am a bit closer to for one reason or another.

  the last thing i would want to do is talk about someone when i don't know if they would mind or not...sorry if it happens here.. first, i had a person i respect a lot tell me she thought i was much more together in real life and was really suprised when she met me...that makes me wonder what kind of wreck i read like on here.

  then it dawned on me, most of us post here as a release of things that aren't so great.

  yay - my sister in law gave birth to a beautiful little baby girl on sunday - tiny little thing, only 2.7 kgs, but absolutely precious... now i know i have two of my own and would probably go insane if i had anymore, but god i am so broody... .

  my incredibly sweet and intelligent girlfriend busted me on this site.

  i have talked to her about most of my issues with the wbts and told her about the site, but due to the very strong similarity between my conversations and my posts, she has cracked open the case like the little detective she is.

  i started telling her about a post i had put up tpday and how after quite a few months i have decided that religion is a piece of art and you cant argue over it, anyway half way through telling her she actually stopped me and said she had already read it along with all of my other posts.

  Ian (Dansk) in hospital with CMV

  hi, everyone ---.

  claire asked me to let the board know that ian is back in the hospital and expected to be there for about a week.. those of you who have been following the weekly vigil thread know that his cmv has returned.

  the virus is not responding adequately to the tablets, so ian needs to be medicated intravenously.. please keep ian and claire in your prayers.. marjorie.
